Community & Downtown Development

The Community Development Department is charged with the oversight of City master planning and zoning functions The Community Development department is also responsible for the Downtown Development Authority. The Downtown Development Authority provides resources for starting a business in the Downtown District.
Responsibilities include:

• Processing zoning, division, fence permit, and district work applications
• Preparing and updating the City Master Plan (PDF)
• Confirming Master Plan Resolution 2021-04
• Preparing land use and community development reports
• Preparing a Guide to Development Documents (PDF)
• Preparing a Checklist for Conceptual Meetings & Project Site Plans (PDF)
• Market developing sites CAPS Project - RFPQ Cooley (PDF)
• Zoning Ordinance Amendment: Pedestrian Sidewalks and Bike Parking(PDF)
